Where to park at RNO

RNO has two garages and several surface lots. The airport website lists rates and real-time space availability. The rates quoted here were posted in 2026 and may change, since the airport authority has been revising its parking fees for the 2026-27 fiscal year.

  • Short-Term Garage

The closest parking, intended for stays under six hours. Posted daily rate of $36 after six hours. Ground-floor accessible spaces have a crosswalk to the terminal entrance. Clearance is 7 feet 7 inches.

  • Long-Term Garage

Covered and uncovered parking on levels two and three (the roof), reached by an enclosed skybridge. Posted daily rate of $22 after six hours. Clearance is 8 feet 2 inches. Reservations move to a new Aeroparker system on October 13, 2026 (reservations are paused October 1 to 12), with free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start. The airport says reservations can add a fee.

  • Long-Term Surface Lot

Open-air parking at a posted $18 per day.

  • Park & Walk Lot

Opened July 21, 2026 at 2555 Aviation Way with 560 spaces. The airport calls it its lowest daily rate at $16, with a walk of about 10 to 15 minutes and no shuttle. Entry and exit are ticketless and card only: use the same card to enter and leave.

  • Overflow lots

Open only when needed, with a shuttle about every 15 minutes. Do not drive to one directly. Enter at the main garage entrance and staff will direct you. Payment is by QR code through JustPark.

  • Free Waiting Lot

The former cell phone lot, about four minutes from the terminal, for drivers waiting for arriving passengers. Vehicles must stay attended, and commercial and rideshare vehicles are not allowed.

  • A 10-minute grace period applies in all lots before charges start.
  • Motorcycles and mopeds can park free in the designated motorcycle spaces on the first floor of the Short-Term Garage.
  • The parking team offers free help 24 hours a day with problems such as a dead battery or flat tire. The number is on the airport parking page.
  • When the Long-Term Garage is full, the real-time sign shows "RES", which means only reservation holders can enter. Even with a reservation, the airport says it can take about 15 minutes to find a space, and reserved spaces are not marked.
