Tampa International Airport (TPA) terminal guide

Tampa, Florida KTPA #27 US airport by passengers

How TPA is laid out and how to move between buildings.

Terminals at TPA

Main Terminal

Nine levels. Level 1 is baggage claim, Level 2 is airline ticketing, Level 3 is the transfer level with shuttles to the airsides, and Levels 4 to 9 are the Short Term Garage. Airline check-in is split into Red and Blue sides.

Airside A

JetBlue, United, Breeze and Sun Country, per the airport's airline directory.

Airside C

Southwest, Alaska and Avelo.

Airside E

Delta, Frontier, Air Canada and Aeromexico. Home to the Delta Sky Club.

Airside F

American Airlines and most international carriers, including British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, WestJet, Porter, Copa, Avianca, Cayman Airways, Discover and Edelweiss. International arrivals clear U.S. Customs and Border Protection here.

Airside D (under construction)

A new 16-gate airside that the airport says will open in 2029. The airport's earlier Airside D was demolished in 2007.

Moving between terminals

Each airside has its own automated shuttle from Level 3 of the Main Terminal. There is no direct link between airsides, so to change airsides you ride back to the Main Terminal and take the other airside's shuttle. Each airside also has its own security checkpoint, so a connection that involves leaving the secure area means clearing security again.
