Burbank, California KBUR #56 US airport by passengers
How BUR is laid out and how to move between buildings.
Terminal A has nine gates and Terminal B has five. Each terminal has its own security checkpoint, and both connect through the older airport complex.
A single consolidated terminal with 14 gates, a new TSA checkpoint with eight lanes between Gates 9 and 10, and an updated baggage claim area. The main entrance moves to Winona Avenue and Hollywood Way.
The furthest gate from the security checkpoint is about 300 feet closer than in the old layout. A reporter who timed the walk found about four minutes to Gate 1 and two minutes to Gate 14.
In the current airport, Terminal A and Terminal B each have a separate security checkpoint. The new terminal has one consolidated checkpoint, so passengers clear security once.
