Checkpoints and tips
RIC has two separate TSA checkpoints, one in front of Concourse A and one in front of Concourse B. Each has four lanes and a TSA PreCheck lane. The airport does not have CLEAR lanes at either checkpoint.
- Security is on the upper departures level, and the airport says the two checkpoints are in front of Concourse A and Concourse B.
- The airport plans a consolidated checkpoint with 10 lanes, expandable to 14. Construction has not started, so expect some changes in the terminal over the next few years.
- Check the TSA hours and PreCheck schedule before you travel, since lane hours can change.
